While I was in St Gilgen working with Kirsty I made a series of performance art workshops and some power point presentations for the International School she teaches in. I was delighted to do this as I’d originally designed a workshop for kids around my body alphabet, and never got to do these because of.. you’ve guessed it, Covid…

So it was interesting to go ahead and do these workshops, and see how the kids responded. I did them with a range of kids from approx 10 years old up to 16, so that obviously influenced their interest and willingness to try it. In fairness they were nice kids and well behaved so that made it much easier than it potentially could have been.. The youngest ones got pretty into it and it afforded me a view if how it would be to teach it to a bunch of hyper 9/20 year olds- all the movement suited them and it was fun to see them interpret the shapes themselves as opposed to just copying me doing it.

I will definitely try and run some workshops here now, that I’ve essentially been able to pilot test them in Austria.
