I wrote a substack post about my trip to Supermarket Art Fair, Stockholm, Sweden, just a couple of weeks ago. Here is a link to the post

I arrived on a Thursday evening, April 3rd and left April 7th, the Monday after. I made two performances, one on Saturday evening 7pm and the second on Sunday lunchtime 1.15pm.

It was interesting to make the same performance twice, even though it wasn’t the same performance of course. So I suppose I mean it was interesting to make a performance in the same environment with the same equipment, a second time. Very different energy, and the very obvious fact of having already experienced a performance work in the space made by myself, to go ahead and do it again. There were concrete differences, in the length, the clothing sequence, the pace, the energy.

Here are some images from Saturdays performance. All images courtesy of Alannah Robins, Interface Inagh Director. I like these images as they are quite an accurate depiction of the performance. Often performance documentation is not an accurate depiction of the event at all. And it need not be. As obviously its not the performance, it’s something else entirely. But in this case, the performance was fast, frenetic, discordant, energetic, and I feel the photos show some of this.
