I am a member of a County Clare based Mother Artist Collective, and last week we put on our second group show.

Name of Show        NEART (irish for strength)

The show was called Neart, which translates as strength in Gaelic. 10 of us from the collective contributed to the show, which was held in The Old Schoolhouse, Scariff, which is a space owned and managed by one of our collective members Bonnie. Bonnie, Frances and myself curated the show which was really interesting and a challenge, given that different styles of work had to be made work beside each other and within the whole of The Old Schoolhouse Space.  The show was supported by Creative Ireland. Working with this collective of other mothers is a hugely positive experience for me and has enriched my social life and my practice.
